ALL myths are harmful

Pit bulls -do not have a "lock jaw" the anatomy of a Pit bulls jaw is nothing special, while they may have a different biting style than some other breeds their jaw does not "lock"
Blue nose and Red nose- are just that NOSE colors, nothing more, it is not a seperate blood line or a seperate breed (though APBTS are not commonly blue)
Nanny dogs- There was no "nanny dog" of any breed, period..
Bully pit-No you have an American Bully not a pit bull
"It's all how you raise them"-perhaps the most dangerous myth of all. All breeds have different characteristics if this was not the case we wouldn't have different breeds to begin with
because we could just "raise" any breed to preform the tasks needed. While being human aggressive is not a breed characteristic(all human aggressive pit bulls should be euthed)
Dog aggression is very common in the breed and you cannot love it away
